Cost & Insurance

Cost of Services

Please contact us by phone if you have any questions about our fee structure. We are always happy to answer any questions.

We believe cost of service should not impede an individual or family’s mental health.

Counseling Services:

These services are provided by our clinician, Michael. I charge $145 per 45-minute appointment. If you or your family feel you would benefit from a longer session I also reserve a few 60-minute sessions for $180. For the initial meeting, the session will be $200.

Payment Methods:

Cash, check, credit card, and HSA/FSA cards.

Health Savings Accounts:

Counseling services can be paid for using Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flex Spending Account (FSA) cards. If you do not have a HSA or FSA card I can provide you with a receipt for services so that you can be reimbursed by the company holding the HSA or FSA account. For more information on qualifying expenses for HSA or FSA cards please review Publication 502 with the IRS.

Insurance:

Insurance can be a barrier to receiving the care that you deserve. I work hard to make sure I give you the best possible care, including working with your insurance company to get the highest level of reimbursement allowed. In many cases I can directly bill your insurance company; meaning I send the insurance company an invoice, they reimburse me and I bill you for the remaining balance.

I am currently a preferred provider with the following insurance companies:

Regence/Blue Cross Blue Shield

United Healthcare/PacificSource

Providence Preferred

Optum

I am always working to join networks that will benefit my clients. If you do not see your insurance company on the list above I can contact your insurance company for approval and an estimate of their reimbursement to you.

If you prefer to work outside the scope of insurance I am always willing to take payment from you and give you documentation for reimbursement from the insurance company.

If you have any questions please reach out and we can work your insurance company to figure out an estimated cost of services.
